A bit of background.

2019

Getting into 3D design and 3D printing.

Whilst studying mechanical engineering at university the more design projects I worked through the more the desire for a 3D printer grew. I invested in a basic machine and began designing.

The first design I released online was a catapult (inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci) which exploded in popularity shortly after it was posted, gaining over 170k views and 25k+ downloads on Thingiverse and Printables combined as of 2025.

Next Steps - Bigger Projects.

When I was a child, I loved anything that could launch something. I remember visiting Ludlow Castle and getting my hands on a small pencil sharpener that was built into a catapult. Perfect for me, not so much for my teachers at school.

For my first professional project I put together a catapult kit that I would have loved as a child. I reached out to Ludlow Castle to see if they we’re interested in purchasing some. Here is me, mid production of their order.

Im very grateful to Ludlow Castle for giving me this opportunity, if you haven’t visited, I highly recommend it for an interesting day out.

Since & Now

What I’ve been working on since.

What I’ve been working on since.

After working on so many different projects, design has become second nature.
I’m able to work quickly, think laterally, and come up with practical solutions without overcomplicating things.

That’s led to hundreds of unique designs, from everyday fixes for friends and family to work carried out for an aerospace engineering factory.

Here are some of the categories i've worked in.

Product Prototyping

Custom storage & organisers

Replacement & repair parts

Mounts & brackets

Workshop & hobby tools

Protective enclosures

One-off functional parts

If your idea doesn’t quite fit a category don't worry! That's where the fun begins.

How it works

A simple, practical process focused on real-world use.

The idea or problem
A sketch, photo, broken part, or explanation is enough to get started. The idea is discussed and clarified to understand how the part needs to work.
Designed in CAD
Your idea is turned into a precise digital model, refined for fit and function before printing. Adjustments are easy at this stage, before anything is printed.
Printed & tested
The design is 3D printed using materials suited to its intended use. Functional parts are printed for fit, strength, and practicality.
Ready to use
The final part fits, functions, and does the job it was designed for. The result is a practical solution built around the original problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to commonly asked questions and discover how to make the most of my CAD and 3D Printing services.

No. Sketches, photos, reference images, broken parts, or a simple explanation are enough to get started.

A wide range, including functional parts, decorative items, prototypes, storage solutions, mounts, and one-off custom designs. If you’re not sure where your idea fits, that’s fine.

Yes. One-off parts and small runs are very common. There’s no minimum quantity.

Timescales vary depending on the project, but many small jobs can be turned around relatively quickly. If timing is important, it’s best mentioned when getting in touch.

Each project is different, so pricing depends on the complexity of the design, printing time, and intended use. Once the details are clear, pricing is discussed before anything goes ahead. There’s no obligation to proceed.

Colour Theory

Colour has a huge influence on how we (humans) interpret brands and businesses. Believe it or not, most of our thoughts are sub-conscious but it is these thoughts that lead us to spend our money or walk away.

Different colours can convey different emotions and meanings, and are often used in different industries to create a particular feeling or mood. For example, blue is often used in finance and banking because it is associated with trust and stability, while red is commonly used in food and beverage branding because it stimulates appetite and evokes excitement.

Below is a table of colours that explains some of their associations.

Red

passion, love, anger, danger, warning

Yellow

sunshine, happiness, joy, intellect, caution

Blue

calmness, trust, loyalty, wisdom, mystery

White

purity, innocence, cleanliness, peace

Orange

warmth, energy, happiness, enthusiasm

Pink

innocence, femininity, compassion, love

Black

power, sophistication, mystery, evil

Silver

modernity, sophistication, industrial, cold

Purple

royalty, luxury, creativity, mystery

Green

nature, growth, health, harmony, money

Brown

earthliness, reliability, dependability, friendliness

Gold

luxury, wealth, success, prestige, glamour
