Project Dashboard (HQ) Guide.

Intro and Scope:

Welcome to the HQ, a project dashboard. This guide will walk you through each step of using the dashboard, from creating projects to managing notes and completing tasks. Follow the steps below to get the most out of this tool.

You must be logged in to use HQ and view Joint Projects or your Personal Projects.

Accessing HQ:

Upon logging in and clicking on the blue banner at the top of the home page, you will be directed to the main project dashboard page. The dashboard displays two categories:

  • Joint Projects: Visible to all logged-in users.
  • Personal Projects: Visible only to you.

Creating a New Project:

You can create a new project using one of two methods:

  1. Click the blue box on the dashboard.
  2. Use the Create a Project button located in the header at the top.

 

Fill in the project creation form:

  • Title: Give your project a descriptive title.
  • Type: Select whether the project is Joint or Personal.
  • Deadline (optional): Set a deadline if required.
  • Description: Clearly outline what the project aims to achieve.
  • Project Number: Assign a unique project number. The last used number is displayed at the top-right corner of the form for reference.

 

Once created, your project will appear on the main dashboard.

Viewing Projects:

  • Personal Projects: Only visible to you.

  • Joint Projects: Accessible to all logged-in users.

Adding Notes to a Project:

To add notes:

  1. Open the project and click the Add Notes button at the bottom.
  2. Complete the note form:
    • Title: Enter a title for your note.
    • Type: Select whether it’s from a Meeting or just Normal Notes.
    • Deadline (optional): Add a deadline if required.
    • Content: Provide detailed information for the note.
    • Media Upload: Attach relevant media. All media uploads from every note are displayed at the bottom of the project for easy access.
    • Document Upload: Click the add document button, name the document and upload the document. You must click the add document button to add multiple documents.
    • Category: Choose a category for this note, this will be used to filter later on.

 

To mark a note as complete:

  1. Click Edit on the note.
  2. Change the status on the form to Complete. Once saved, a green bar and checkmark will appear.
    • Notes can also be deleted by selecting Delete on the note in question.

Editing and Deleting Projects:

To edit a project:

  • Open the project and click Edit in the top bar below the header.
  • Make the necessary changes, including updating the project type, description, or status.

 

To delete a project:

  • Click Delete in the same top bar.

Completing a Project:

To mark a project as complete:

  1. Edit the project and change its status on the form to Complete.
  2. The project will move to the Project Archive section, located below active projects on the Project Dashboard.
  3. Archived projects remain accessible but display “Complete” to indicate they are not active.
  4. To undo completion:
    • Edit the project and change the status back to Ongoing.

Colour Theory

Colour has a huge influence on how we (humans) interpret brands and businesses. Believe it or not, most of our thoughts are sub-conscious but it is these thoughts that lead us to spend our money or walk away.

Different colours can convey different emotions and meanings, and are often used in different industries to create a particular feeling or mood. For example, blue is often used in finance and banking because it is associated with trust and stability, while red is commonly used in food and beverage branding because it stimulates appetite and evokes excitement.

Below is a table of colours that explains some of their associations.
